Fast Food giant Innscor Africa buys new baking machinery -Zimbabwe

FAST food giant Innscor Africa has acquired baking machinery worth more than US$1,5 million for its Bulawayo bread manufacturing plant, an official from the company has said.


Innscor Bulawayo bread factory general manager Mr Felix Vazhure said the equipment, acquired from South Africa and United Kingdom, would a would boost its bread and confectionaries products.

The equipment is set to be commissioned next month.

“The equipment will be commissioned in April. The company will improve on the quality of bread and beat competition on the local market,” he said.

He said the company acquired its machinery from South Africa and a United Kingdom (UK) based company that specialises in baking bread.

“The company purchased its machinery from Baker In Baking, a UK-based company and some of the machinery is from South Africa,” he said.

Mr Vazhure said the company got its motivation from other foreign baking companies that were improving their products.

“Bakers Inn got most of its inspiration from a United Kingdom (UK) based world market leader on bread, the Woabuttn’s. This is why we purchased the same equipment as theirs,” he said.

Mr Vazhure said the equipment will replace aging machinery at the factory some that has been in operation for the last 15 years.
