United Biscuit's major bidder Bright Food Group seems to be opting out from the bidding race
A report
A DEAL which would have seen Britain's United Biscuits sold to China's Bright Food Group is close to collapsing, according to industry sources.
Although the exclusivity period has yet to expire, the sources believe talks are effectively dead. The exact reason has yet to be revealed, however, there are rumours that it could be due to Bight preferring to focus its attention on nutritional supplement retailer GNC Holdings Inc., which is for sale.
