Good news for Indian Bakery Industry where Britannia Industries one of the major bakery manufacturer of the country has bagged Global Performance Excellence Award competing with major companies from Asia Pacific ,putting Indian bakery on international map.

Britannia Industries Limited has been awarded the
Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA) by Asia Pacific Quality
Organization (APQO) at its Chicago HQ on June 18th, 2012. Britannia was
among 18 organizations from 8 Asian and Pacific Rim countries that were
recognized for world class quality performance based on the parameters
modeled on the lines of the U.S. Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence
Award. Britannia won this "Best In Class" award, an international
recognition for its manufacturing units and the overall processes of
performance excellence adopted by the company.
Britannia is the only Indian food and manufacturing company to receive this award.
